Judy Acri-Courtemanche is a Sheridan College graduate with a diploma in Fashion Design and Technique. She applied her understanding of Fashion and Interior Design to the detailing of the historic colours and fabrics for this project. Carefully she researched backgrounds and documentation for the findings of the house details, all of the families who once lived there as well as her determination to find ghosts. With Rick, a custom estate home contractor, together they combined their experience, knowledge and passion to restore many old houses.

This book is a reminder suggesting the rolls of Judy Acri-Courtemanche and her husband Rick Courtemanche journey to restore an old house. Rick removed all but the original building which Asa Wolverton built for his wife Juliet in the mid 1800’s. Together this couple took the task of turning a “remuddled” old house into the home originally built by Asa…almost two centuries ago. Their final project was the unusual 1851 Greek Revival Plantation Manor sitting on the banks of the Grand River. and after 15 years saved “The Lumber Merchant’s House”.
